This is the full-length version of the Petri Dish VFX series using Maya, V-Ray, After Effects, and Mocha AE. In Part 1, we practice more tracking in Mocha AE. In Part 2, we set up the Maya scene with PaintFX, do surfacing/texturing, create render layers, and start rendering with V-Ray. In Part 3, we start compositing the EXR sequences rendered in Maya and V-Ray. We apply the track data from Mocha, set up depth of field using a Z Depth pass, and create a petri dish base texture. In Part 4, we composite Shot B and finish up with Shot A with Maya V-Ray EXR files, After Effects, and Mocha.
